Another Mini Composition Book

I've just created another mini composition book. This time I used Regal Rose ink for the letter and Rebecca (cover) & Loves Me (on the spine) paper. I attached Certainly Celery for the ribbon (glued it under the letter). Then I added dots of 2-way glue and Dazzling Diamonds. This is so girly!

Altered Lunch Tins

Last night, I had my first class since I moved here to Virginia! Three ladies came to make altered lunch tins. We had a great time visiting, and I was impressed with how quickly they finished their projects! The two tins above were my samples. The one on the left was made just before Christmas to keep all of our family holiday recipes so that I can find them in one place. The other I made for the last night's class.

Trina couldn't decide what word to put on her tin, so she went with her initial. Very elegant! (She also has a few ribbons on the handles and cards inside to match.)

Monica is a fellow Stampin' Up! demo I met at a crop last month. She used my absolute favorite papers!

Chris used her initials to decorate her tin, too. In addition to representing Close to My Heart, she's a great crafter and resource! She started a monthly crop here in Fredericksburg where I've met all sorts of fun crafters! (I love all the different ribbons on her handle.)

Supplies: Provo Craft tin; ModPodge; sticky strip; decorative papers; alphabet stamps; tag punch (to cut notch) & other punches; ribbon; various ink colors; various embellishments.

We also made dividers and four matching cards. I wish I had taken pictures of the ladies' cards! They did such a great job . . . Each one was given 2 sheets of decorative papers (most were double sided) and access to all of my scraps (ribbon, deco papers, cardstock) to finish out the design of their tin and cards.

Oh, I must give credit to the SCS tutorial on altered lunch tins by Emily Giovanni!

Mini Composition Book

I've been able to post a lot today! Hopefully that'll make up for the lack of posts the rest of this week (I have another job doing transcription work for the USMC that I need to do).
I made this mini composition book a while ago, but thought it'd be a great idea to post.

Details: Mini comp book (you can get 4 for $1 at the $ store!); decorative papers; strong glue; alphabet set; close to cocoa cardstock and ink; naturals ivory cardstock; dazzling diamonds & 2 way glue. [I filled in the letter with 2 way glue, then applied glitter and shook the excess off to get the effect.]

Name Frames

I love to make "name frames" for baby gifts. This is one I made for friends in Florida who just had their first baby girl. Lilyana is already a couple of months old, so I need to get this in the mail!

Details: I used decorative papers from the Winter Mini that is no longer available (sorry!). I also used Rose Red, Whisper White, and Chocolate Chip card stock. I stamped the odd rectangle from All the Best in Pretty in Pink and the letters in Chocolate Chip. I used the 2 way glue pen to adhere Dazzling Diamonds to the letters for the glam effect. (I hope you can tell in the 2nd photo -- click on it to make it larger.) Then I added Hodgepodge Hardware and pink gingham & Certainly Celery ribbon to complete the gift.
